Ughhhhh!

It happened! The dreaded and much feared first ever scorpion sting. The little &*$#*@! got me in the arm! I was letting Attner out and I brushed up against the patio curtain and felt this little burn on my arm. I thought, "Ouch! That feels like the burning needle sensation that people describe as a scorpion sting." So I looked all over the curtain and floor to see what got me. Couldn't find anything, but my arm was really stinging. So I turned on another light and took another look. I saw something skitter under a chest I had by the door. I'm thinking, "Oh, man, it was a scorpion! Hmmm, it stings, but it's not that bad; nothing a bag of frozen peas can't handle." So I move the chest and there he is...and there he's going to DIE!! So, I squished him. I have spent the last 6yrs completely freaked out by the thought of a scorpion sting! I've seen people in the ER with all kinds of crazy reactions. Oh, and they say you can't see where they sting you, well, I have a nice little welt, sort of like a mosquito bite to prove he was there! Okay, so, my eyes don't seem to be getting all twitchy and I can still walk, I just have this sting in my arm. Whew, all that worry was for nothing! Thank God!! :o)
